Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Ambulatory Registered Nurse to join our Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Float Pool team!

Summary: Responsible for providing professional nursing care for patients including assessment, treatment and care planning by following established standards and practices. Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care. All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements

Essential Responsibilities:
• Provides patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
• Obtains and documents pertinent information during patient triage including following established protocols of the practice.
• Follows treatment plan as ordered by provider. Administers and documents prescribed medications. Ensures that all charges are captured accurately and completely.
• Consults with providers to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and providers.
• Educates patients about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• Accurately documents patient assessment according to practice protocol. Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Appropriately handles patient care related phone calls.

The ideal Ambulatory Registered Nurse candidate should posses the following minimal qualifications:
• Graduate of a Diploma or Associate’s Degree Nursing Program.
• Current RN license to practice in the State of Georgia required.
• Current BCLS CPR certification required.
