Southeast Georgia has an opportunity for a Multi Modality Technologist to join our Radiology team!

Summary: Proficient in general radiography and at least one area of specialty (e.g. Picture Archival Communications System, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Mammography). All team members of Southeast Georgia Health System will promote a culture of safety, follow established policies, and adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements, Joint Commission requirements, and national patient safety standards.

The Multi-Modality Technologist performs the following essential responsibilities:

* Continually strives to make the best use of time during assigned shift through careful coordination of daily tasks.
* Remains abreast of new procedures, equipment, and methods along with participation in their evaluation and application.
* Maintains excellent customer relations within the appropriate section, within Imaging Services and throughout the Health System.
* Performs modality functions for at least 10% of assigned shifts.
* Performs procedures per established protocols and procedures. Consults with Radiologists for any clinical deviations concerning patient care/exam protocol needs.
* Assesses patient prior to exams requiring the administration of contrast media and records all pertinent information to include, but not limited to, medical history, vital signs and contraindications.
* Obtains all necessary signatures or direct physician authorizations on the informed consent documents for all examinations utilizing the administration of contrast media.
* Responsible for communicating with the public, medical staff, and interdepartmental personnel regarding customer needs.
* Maintains extremely confidential and accurate records manually and electronically to ensure appropriate patient data is available.
* Responsible for helping in all sections within Imaging Services and aids other personnel in monitoring and ensuring patient charts/records are complete and accurate.
* Demonstrates patient confidentiality, sound judgment and positive interpersonal skills.

The ideal Multi Modality Technologist candidate should posses the following minimal qualifications:

* High School graduate or equivalent.
* Graduate of ARRT approved Radiology, and must be registry eligible.
* Must be ARRT registered within 1 year of transfer or hire.
* 1-3 years experience as an RT; Modality experience preferred.
* ARRT (R) licensure
* Imaging skills as defined by their modality and annual clinical based competency assessment.
* Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
* Medical terminology, computer skills, and excellent public relations skills required.
* Must be prompt, courteous and well spoken to all.
